The old part of the workshop was built around 1948.
In our workshop, there are many relatively young craftsmen in the Arita production area.
The building will open around January 2023 and will be a directly managed store that will sell a number of outlet items.
We would like to become a brand that lets consumers know that “Kanezen Seitosho = Arita-yaki Pottery Company” and convey the quality of Arita-yaki (traditional craft).
As of today, we distribute our products to wholesale trading companies, so when our products reach consumers, they do not know much about who makes the pottery.
We will use this new store as a foothold to communicate and raise awareness that our pottery is made by our workshop. We hope to convey the process of pottery production and its charms, and let people know about the brand “Kanezen Seitosho” and the quality of Arita-yaki.
The first difference is the wide variety of vessel molds and colors.
We have been producing tableware for business use mainly for inns and restaurants, but since around 2010, we have also been focusing on producing tableware for home use, and recently, we have been making tableware that can be used both in restaurants and at home.
The second difference is the development of products that take advantage of the minerals contained in the glaze.
The black rust shibori and snow are representative examples. The black rust shibori uses minerals to give the surface a metallic look, which changes in the kiln and gives each piece a different appearance, while the snow glaze utilizes spraying techniques and mineral characteristics to create fine irregularities on the surface, giving it a sparkling appearance.
We are constantly testing new glazes and developing products that bring out the best of minerals (materials).
Enjoy the pleasure of food with the new historical Arita-yaki porcelain.
Our goal is to create porcelain that will inspire you with a sense of change and happiness in your daily life.
We value ambition, pride, fun, and communicating.
